Mountain Rise church began in the living rooms of Perinton neighborhood homes in 1962, with a gathering of questioners, seekers, and Christ-followers who founded our church and called its first pastor. Today Mountain Rise aspires to welcome people of diverse perspectives and backgrounds, to serve others in practical ways, and to live out Christ’s ideals of justice, peace, and compassion. We are an “Open & Affirming” church, meaning that we welcome all to full participation, regardless of sexual orientation.
