In the United Church of Christ tradition, we affirm that each person has a ministry, with our mission statement being a guide as our church works together in shared ministry. Most ongoing decisions are handled in monthly meetings of Church Council leaders, by Steering Committees and Ministry Teams, and by staff. Each member of Mountain Rise has an equal voice and vote in decisions of great importance.*

* While achieving consensus is the goal in decisions of congregational importance, majority vote prevails when necessary. Congregational Meetings are held twice each year, and specially called meetings of the congregation can be held with two weeks notice. Always, the goal is to serve God by fulfilling our mission statement together.
