Children

Our Christian education and faith formation program provides guidance and encouragement to children, youth, adults, and families during their personal faith journeys. Faith formation experiences and learning activities are designed to foster an appreciation and understanding of Christian beliefs and practices, an openness to other perspectives and religious beliefs, a deep love and caring for God’s creation, and the faith to be followers of a loving, still-speaking God in this world.

The Journey of Learning and Growing in Faith

Mountain Rise offers programming for children and youth every Sunday after the Children’s Offering and Message. Classes are led by a team of caring adults who follow the A Joyful Path curriculum.

Children at Mountain Rise explore their faith journey through stories, scripture, creativity, and service. The goal in gathering each week is to foster openness and acceptance to different perspectives, religious beliefs, and experiences, and to encourage children to explore their own thoughts and feelings, working towards an understanding of their own faith journey. No matter where they are on life’s journey, they are welcome.

Children are welcome in worship and are invited to participate in the weekly Children’s Offering and Message which takes place during worship. The children’s offerings have been used to support The Heifer Project, Cameron Community, and other projects selected by the children.

Activity bags are available each Sunday throughout the year.
