Congregational Care

The Caring Connections Ministry works closely with the pastoral staff of Mountain Rise to offer emotional and spiritual care and support to members and friends. It is made up of several teams.

A flower-shaped diagram displays seven groups under "Caring Connections Ministry": Ride Share, Visitation, Flowers, Cards of Caring, Prayer Circle, and Memorial Reception.
  • Ride Share Team – offers transportation to and from Sunday services for those who enjoy in-person worship
  • Flowers Team – delivers floral arrangements, donated for worship services, hoping they will brighten someone’s day
  • Prayer Circle – commits to daily praying for church members and friends who wish to be prayed for and receive the power of God’s care and love
  • Memorial Reception Team – provides bereaved families with an opportunity to gather with extended family and friends while enjoying foods selected from several options and prepared by the team
  • Cards of Caring Team – sends cards, with a personal note, to those who can use a kind word and be assured that our church cares and thinks about them
  • Visitations Team – visits each of our church members living in a care facility at least once a month

If you know someone who could benefit from the Caring Connections ministry, please contact Cheryl Pipkin or Sherry Shaffer at the church office by calling (585) 223-2433.
