An active collaborative pianist for the past 20 years for school choirs and solofest, musicals, and churches, Jamilya is currently the accompanist for the Hochstein Little Singers, as well as for Mountain Rise United Church Christ of Fairport.
Jamilya holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance and a Master of Arts in Piano Performance and Music Education from the Turkmen National Conservatory in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan. She also has a Master of Science in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Rochester. She is currently a full-time ESOL Teacher with the RCSD and has maintained a private piano studio for many years.

Jamilya enjoys seeing people singing or playing musical instruments, having fun, and creating music together. Her favorite things to do in the Rochester area are hiking, eating in local restaurants, and attending the jazz festival and RPO concerts.
