Safe Church Policy
Our Christian education and faith formation program provides guidance and encouragement to children, youth, adults, and families during their personal faith journeys. Faith formation experiences and learning activities are designed to foster an appreciation and understanding of Christian beliefs and practices, an openness to other perspectives and religious beliefs, a deep love and caring for God’s creation, and the faith to be followers of a loving, still-speaking God in this world.
Mountain Rise United Church of Christ provides our children, youth and vulnerable adults with an environment that is safe, nurturing, empowering, and that promotes growth and success.
All staff members and all church volunteers working with children, youth, and vulnerable adults must pass a background check, participate in a safety training program, and follow policy guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone.
Copies of our Child and Youth Safety Policy and our Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention Policy are available in the church office.
