Youth
Our Christian education and faith formation program provides guidance and encouragement to children, youth, adults, and families during their personal faith journeys. Faith formation experiences and learning activities are designed to foster an appreciation and understanding of Christian beliefs and practices, an openness to other perspectives and religious beliefs, a deep love and caring for God’s creation, and the faith to be followers of a loving, still-speaking God in this world.
Youth are encouraged to participate in worship (e.g. ushering, Scripture reading, music) and congregational social and service activities. They are invited to help in the multi-age classroom if they would like. The youth are also invited to attend Soulful Soup, a multi-age fellowship gathering with an open agenda.
Confirmation
Youth are invited to explore and participate in Confirmation when they start 7th grade. This is a time for youth to learn about and explore the Christian faith alongside other youth. Confirmation includes studying the Bible and other religious texts, learning about other faith communities, and participating in Service Projects. The current Confirmation class consists of youth from five churches and meets twice a month.
